Royal has over 35 years of business managment experience in both the public and private sectors. Throughout Mr. Joslin's management career he has worked closely with investment, financial planning, insurance and employee benefit issues.
Today, he is engaged in a broad range of financial services with particular emphasis on retirement, investment, succession, business transition and estate planning for high net worth individuals and business owners.
Mr. Joslin grew up in Annapolis Maryland and Newport Rhode Island. After graduation from the U.S. Naval Academy, he served eight years as an engineeering officer in the U.S Navy on a nuclear powered cruiser in the Western Pacific. Later he served as a member of the faculty at the U.S. Naval Academy.
After his Naval Service, Royal completed his M.B.A. at the Wharton School of Business. After graduation from Wharton, he entered the private business sector with a firm in Philadelphia and helped the company transition to a New York Stock exchange listed public company.
As an executive of three different firms private and public, Mr. Joslin focused on the planning and executing a full range of complex corporate matters including insurance, investments as well as a variety of executive and employee benefit programs. He has transitioned these executive skills to the financial services business to help his clients preserve and protect their wealth.
An avid sailor, he has a lifelong passion for sailing, having participated as a crew member in major yacht racing competition including Transatlantic races and two America's Cup races.
While a long time resident of Philadelphia, he has had extensive foreign travel. Mr. Joslin has two children who live in Philadelphia and Chicago and he is active in a number of neighborhood civic organizations, associations and clubs such as the New York Yacht Club, US Naval Academy Alumni Association, World 12 Meter Yacht Racing Asssociation and others
Mr. Joslin holds a FINRA Series 7 and Series 66 securities licenses and state insurance licenses in more than 10 states.
